For élan, Snøhetta approached the café as a complete sensory environment, where architecture, materials, light, sound and coffee come together as one experience.
Location: Kirkegata 7, Oslo
Two original long-form compositions were created for the space, developed to complement the different areas of the café and evolve gradually throughout the day. In one area, the music is projected from a directional horn in the ceiling, creating a focused sound shower that visitors step into. The result is a localized listening experience where the music becomes part of the architecture and changes as you move through the space.
